This page explains the information Travocal currently handles and how it is used.
Information Travocal handles
Travocal is an early-stage travel discovery product. The current MVP does not require user accounts, passwords, persistent traveler profiles, or a database of traveler accounts.
When someone contacts Travocal or uses the local contribution flow, they may choose to provide information such as their name, email address, city, recommendation, category, explanation, or other information included in their message.
Analytics
Travocal may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the website and to improve the product.
Analytics is enabled only after the visitor chooses to allow analytics. Travocal's current analytics implementation is designed not to send names, email addresses, raw search queries, or user-ID values as analytics event data.
The analytics events are intended to measure product interactions such as destination searches, destination selections, city-page visits, and itinerary starts.
Analytics choices
Visitors can choose whether to allow analytics. The analytics preference may be stored locally in the browser so that the site can remember the choice.
Visitors can change their analytics preference later using the analytics preferences control provided on the site.
Contact and local contributions
The current contact and local contribution flows prepare emails addressed to hello@travocal.com using the visitor's configured email application.
Travocal does not create an account or automatically publish a submitted recommendation through these flows. Submitted recommendations are reviewed separately before publication.
Newsletter
A newsletter subscription service is not currently part of the MVP implementation. This policy should be updated if Travocal introduces an email newsletter or another service that stores subscriber information.
Third-party services
Travocal currently uses Google Analytics 4 for analytics when analytics consent has been granted. The local contribution and contact flows use the visitor's own email application rather than a third-party form submission service.
